Management:
- Management supports every aspect of the safety program outlined below. All accidents must be investigated immediately,
- Reports must be investigated immediately, reports must be complied immediately, safety committee meetings must be held each month,
- Safety checks must be accomplished every month. Safety is the responsibility of all employees.
Safety committee:
- A joint safety committee consisting of supervisors, employees, and management will meet once every month to discuss ways to implement new ideas and enforce current safety rules. The committee will be authorized to make recommendations to correct deficiencies and make the workplace safer.
Mission:
- The safety committee's mission is to provide employees with an effective voice in the health and safety efforts in their workplace. The committee will serve provide real communications between employees and management, resulting in significant actions by both.
Authority:
The safety committee's authority is as follow;
- Inspect the workplace.
- Investigate safety problems.
- Communicate safety procedures.
- Educate workers about hazards.
- Recommend control.
Duties:
The safety committee's duties shall include the following activities.
- Review accident investigation reports.
- Keep company safety and health rules up to date.
- Address employee safety concerns.
- Promote safety and health activities.
- Determine the need for training and education
- Conduct periodic oversight inspections of areas to determine
that hazards are not being overlooked.
- Review accident statistics to identify areas to determine
